POOR has created an Advocacy Journalism Intership Program
- live, work and study economic justice, legal advocacy, journalism,
counseling, graphic design, magazine production, community building,
media resistance, computer graphics et al. Receive supervised hours
toward an MFCC (counseling license) as well as hands on experience.
Living accomadations within the intentional community project (in
San Francisco, CA ) included. 3, 6 or 12 month program available.

- EMPATHY EDUCATION/POVERTY STUDIES
Learn how to understand and therefore effectively help your society/fellow
human being. Re-contextualize your beliefs about suffering. De-marginalize
your actions. In other words - learn how to be truly empathic, rather
than furthering the role of "other." This is an innovative approach

- UPCOMING POOR MAGAZINE PRE-PUBLISHING WORKSHOP
Every daughter has a mother - every son has a mother - every mother
has a mother. To generate poetry, prose and visual art for POOR's
upcoming volume, MOTHERS, Dee, mother, co-editor, artist and licensed
therapist, and Tiny, daughter, co-editor, writer will run a pre-publishing
workshop to create art/writing from your experiences, feelings and
issues around the subject of MOTHERS. Again POOR magazine
will be examining this subject from a multi-cultural, multi-generational,
political perspective as well as therapeutic understanding of your
process. Starting in April - this workshop has limited space so
