Comer Es Fine
- By Nancy Ramos
- 1. Food es bien because it is good, and looks good too! I
eat with mi famiglia at the table. We look at my mom- we are
eating mexican food. I look at the food - it looks good to me.
Food is my best friend, because the food is good to me. The
food spoke to me, and it said" Eat me now, Nancy," I love when
you eat me because you like how I taste." Nancy Ramos

Ever Growing Hunger
- By Yadira Cazares (Age 16)
- A Hunger so unbearable
Starving like a dog so utter
time crawls consuming my heart
Perishable love as I shudder
- Thirsty like the desert for water
Drowning in my abundant grief
Voices embraced raw anxiety
Dizzy spells flowing short and brief
- Relentlessly hungry for care
Lurid visions my head excruciating
Palpable innocence withered abyss
My last rationed wish fading
- A metallic echo in my stomach
who shall name the price
This frustration has drained me insipid
From the hunger I shall rise
- ........Yadira Cazares ( age16)

Bank...Food
- By Allie (Age 14)
- One time I was a little boy,I went to the store; I wanted
to buy some food, but I was broke and poor. So I went to the
bank, and asked for some money. The people started laughing,
they thought it was funny .
- So I said to the people,you better stop laughing.Before I
get a gun - then I'll have to start blasting and throw you on
the ground, because I'm not playin', so you just better listen
to what what the heck I'm saying
- So then the people said they would give me some cash. They
gave it to me. Then I left the bank real fast. I went to McDonalds.
I ordered a Big Mac....and when I got the food I ate it really
fast; I got large fries and a large coke and an apple pie, too.And
when I was done eating, I felt just like a fool. Allie (age

Sweets
- By Elaine Vickers (Age 17)
- When I was almost eleven, I moved to a foster home in Davis,CA.
At first I thought it was a cool foster home, but after a week
or so, my foster mother began to change.
- I was a natural hyper kid and my foster parents did not like
it, so they did not allow me to eat sugar. I couldn't have anything
with sugar. No salad dressing. No candy, tea, soda, cake, ice cream,
gum, ketchup, mustard, or strawberries; I could only have half
a piece of fruit a day. I could only eat cheerios for breakfast, when
everyone else ate Captain Crunch,Lucky Charms, and a bunch of
other sugar cereals .
- Not eating sugar wasn't my only problem; I wasn't getting
fed enough.
- In the morning before school I'd get one piece of non-buttered
toast,or one bowl of cereal ; at lunch time I could only eat
one or two things on my lunch tray. The people who served lunch
never gave me anything with sugar. At dinner time I'd get a
frozen burrito or something microwavable. My foster family ate
a big dinner before me.
- I started begging the kids at school for food; some of the
kids gave me food, but I got in a lot of trouble with my foster
mom.My foster parents grounded me. Every day at lunch time at
school, I had to walk all the way home to eat lunch. She'd make
me eat a huge plate of food. So breakfast,l unch, and dinner
I was fed a lot more than I could eat. My foster mom and sisters
always watched me take a bath or use the bathroom - sometimes
I wasn't allowed to use the bathroom, I'd have to go in my pants
for which I was then beat.
- So now, I can't eat a lot of food. Actually, I usually can't
eat at all the meals. I have had a really bad food experience,
so now I'm real picky about what I eat. Joy Elaine Vickers(age
17)

in and I say hello, but you slap me and you'd shove some mash
potatoes right down my throat - and I tried to let it pass, but
the futures in my head were with you laying dead - Now your
son is such a joy - Never try to play me....Mark Smith (16)

- My sister's taco was the bomb because of the sour cream and
guacamole and the big juicy tomato. It tasted like the first

of Food
- by Joshua Maria (14)
- I walk in to the store with no money.
I need some food for my family. I walk, worried, down the aisles.....
- suddenly, I grab mountains of food...put
it in my pocket and keep walking. I was bathing in sweat.
- As I walk, the world ended......
- A can of FOOD dropped....
- I was dead.
