The
object of Ask Joe, He Don't Know
( A.J.H.D.K. ) is as a
conduit for others like myself living our future knowing the answer
to
"Are You Ready?" Many of us are not.
I believe in God, Life Extention, and
True Immortality in that order. I do not believe in melding the

TIME TO VOTE!!!
Hi, guess who? ItsÕs Tuesday, Oct. 10. 2000. Are you folks sick
and tired of seeing my columns about voting? Too bad. Any of you
voting for ÔPrez or Vice, SenatorÕs Judges, Right to Life/Choice,
and Racism or Tolerance, Space, Cryonics, Life Extension, and/ or
Immortality am I right?
I did go to City Hall to find out if IÕm registered to vote in
the upcoming elections. IÕm registered so IÕm voting... for whom?
ThatÕs my choice as is yours not to be revealed until IÕm in the
voting booth. I will give folks a hint IÕd like to continue beyond
the 20th century moving ahead towards habitats in space, reproductive
rights for women, social security protections, and universal health
care, not only that but also openning the flood gates to life extension
because weÕll all need it as we get older . Is that enough of a
hint folks?

Every generation has had a crisis to face from the founding fathers,
to World Wars 1 and 2, to a socalled Police Action named ÔThe Korean
Conflict - A police action? I still think when you place boys and
men in uniform, train, em, to kill, have Ôem sent to fight on foreign
soil against other young boys and men with dying on both sides IÕd
tend to call it a war, undeclared or not soldiers on both sides
died in that midcentury conflict. Viet Nam, the first war ever lost
by the then undefeated United States, Then a short glorius war in
1991 called Desert Storm.
If we donÕt watch out we may end up a Viet Nam like scenario again
in Korea. You know our government, when we the people are silent
that tells them to have a ball, spend money, Have A War. Uhh, I
think economically speaking making weapons to kill each other is
no longer the economic stimulus it used to be. Peacetime is a better
way less dead citizens lying around, less money to be made on dead
consummers unless youÕve read The Body BrokerÕs in the Orange County
Register in April off 2000. Vote Vote Vote, Stand up, learn facts,
figures, his/herstories of candidates, then chose and Vote. Is it
November yet? Oh, crap-I Ôgotta write this for another month. Well,
hereÕs the message; whom ever you choose its up to all of us around
this great fertile land to futurize not fossilize America. Do it
early, do it late, but do it; VOTE Bye.

Kill Zone
I am deadly serious on:
'Traditional Death In America' mainly about Black Americans
but other people's in the United States who're also seen the raw,
mean underside of America. Our people have done everything proving
we are a loyal, dedicated, and sacrificed as Americans can be, Lord
knows our blood and bodies are all over this land, weve bled
and died in every war, on foreign soil yet we are always told "It
ain't enough, Never Enough."
Traditional Death:
America is a Kill Zone Pt. 1)
Think about it, let it
sink in... America is in the title but it could be Japan/China/Philippine,
Great Britain/Scotland/Ireland/India, or Jewish/Catholic/Protestant/German
to Russian/Slav /Polish/ Armenian/Syria/Palestinian/Arab/Africa/South
Africa.
They all have a common
thread at one time each has had near genocidal destruction rained
down on them either because of their race, religion, country, and
perceived inferiority. Everyone of them have physical and psychological
scars handed down from generation to generation all have persevered
in spite of terror, death, tricks, and threats set apon them plus
all if people dig beyond the surface have fantastic, glorious his/herstories
of literature, music, poetry, dance, architecture, past of noble
deeds, daring, great lives of survival, lived, lost, and struggled
to surpass the darkness; all in their unique humanity becoming a
shining people on the world's stage.
If I have forgotten nations
(besides African Nations) forgive me, though ignorance is no excuse
there are simply too many great nations and people's for me to remember
but they too are included in humakinds tapestry. African's may know
more of their own genealogy, his/herstory than we hybrid African
Americans (yes, hybrid A-American's ) we're so diluted by
American slavery I cannot say I'm pure anything. We like other mixed
races are unique, we are the new people of the new world and we
breed true, sterility is not our propblem living and staying alive
is.
But as African's do we
too multiply that has been American's waking nightmare seeing these
multicolor faces all over America! Except concentrating on killing
us they sometimes forgot about Mexicans, Chinese, Japanese, and
the rest of the rainbow crowd. Because we do so intimately know
America so well she/he the Bitch or Bastard does its best ignoring
our cries, warnings to others coming to shore "America can one hell
of an opportunity or simply Hell."
America's Tradition besides
using black women as breeding stock, black men to stud, sex/love/lust
was mixed, feelings of slaves didn't matter-it was all about creating
a commodity to raise, sell or one day do both. We in untold billions
died, committed suicide killing our children rather have them live-in-hell
chained forever in this New World called America.
We read of White masters
cohabiting with slave woman black sometimes white but mainly black.
white women were deemed to dainty, pure, genteel, to be handled
so roughly and because of the patriarchal power black women are
blamed for being lascivious, I wonder how many white woman revenged
themselves by taking black males as secret lover's never revealing
him and as for children, they could be sold with no one the wiser.

Scientific Racism: [Pseudo
or false-fake Science justifying racist policies, laws and/or beliefs.]
In 1851 Dr. Samuel A.
Cartwright, a respected physician created a mental illness peculiar
to Black people. "The effort of the slave to gain his freedom
by running away from the plantation, he said was a symptom of
a serious mental disease called "DRAPETOMAIA." Dr. Cartwright
maintained that this hideous condition could be cured by
recapturing the 'patient', rubbing him down with oil and
beating him into submission.
Scientific racist scholarship
has emerged to justify police against Blacks. These studies, such
as Bell Curve, argue that behavior, such as intelligence and criminality,
are genetically determined.
Blacks, they insist,
are genetically coded to commit violent crimes and are beyond the
bounds of society and civil rights. Sounds like Scientific Racism
again. African American men are 45% of those on death row, although
they are but 6% of the population.[excerpt from Antonio Monteiro,
07/28/00,We Charge Genocide!!]
Umm, young black ladies,
men stay out of the Prison Industrial Complex because guess who's
having problems now its those two family well adjusted middle class
white kids in the suburbs. No one worried when in the 1970's and
mid 80's as Blacks were shot in drive-bys, gangs, suicides, homicides,
drug overdoes, or jailed and executed, sudden infant death plagued
us. We had a turning point not all of us died in the street, infants
survived aids, crack, and drug abuse which seem to disturb white
america. In the past this would've wipe us out but we as many people
before us are resilient.
In 1869, Francis Galton,
The English psychologist, cousin of Charles Darwin, published 'Hereditary
Genius. His racist view of Blacks was clear when he wrote, 'The
average intellectual standard of the Negro is some two grades below
our own. 1883 He (Galton) introduced the term Eugenics to describe
ideas and proposed practices of racist superiority and sterilization.
[Excerpt from: Gone
but effects linger Saturday, March 18, 2000, Bill Baskerville, Associated
Press Writer]
Blacks are seen as inferior
in mental abilities but the next step was slow or stop our reproduction
through sterilization. Seven years later and into the 20th century
"Strange Fruit" male, female, young boys, girls, are seen hanging
from trees, pregnant Black women raped or worse, strung up, gutted
from belly to womb, infant(s) taken from the dead mother's womb
and stomped to death. Its mob rule and mass killing on any pretext.
Imagine. Being a black youngster, old woman, man, family man or
up and coming businessman, suddenly a crowd gathers around you of
various ages, faces - you are either shot if your lucky die quick
if not you're slowly tortured to death. As you're being chased your
clothes are torn, ripped away until you are running in fear and
panic completely naked!

The Rich Economy Pt.
3
Before going to The Rich Economy Pt.
3
some errors on No-Work Society Pt. 2 were
made that's it. Where was I, oh its The Rich Economy Part
3
Devised by inventor L. Wayne Benner (co-author with Timothy
Leary of Terra II) in collaboration with the present
author. (R. A. Wilson) A four-stage program to retool society
for the cybernetic and space-age (author's words) future we
are rapidly entering. RICH means: Rising Income through
Cybernetic Homeostasis.
Stage I) Recognize cybernation,
massive unemployment are inevitable and to encourage them.
This can be done by offering $100,000 (or more) reward for any
worker who can design a machine that will replace him or her,
and all others doing the same work. Instead of being dragged
into the cybernetic age kicking and screaming (the author's
words) or walk bravely, run into this new age. (My words)
Stage II) Establish either
the Negative Income Tax or the Guaranteed Annual Income, so
that massive unemployment (it'll happen again) caused by
stage 1
will not hurl (my words) hordes of people
into the degradation of the (then) present welfare system.
Stage III) is to gradually,
experimentally, raise the Guaranteed Annual Income to the level
of the Natural Dividend suggested by Douglas, Bucky
Fuller, and
Ezra Pound which would
give every citizen the approximate living standard of the comfortable
middle class. (a economic species rarely seen today)
Critics again say the "National Dividend
is "inflationary" or would practically wreck the banking business
by lowering the interest rate to near-zero.
Try this economic switch where the economic
life of the our country is in our hands - billions of hands.
In slow steps raise the minimum wage 5 percent per year for
the first ten years. Experimentally raise it further and faster
toward the level of a true National Dividend. MAKING SENSE,
IS IT MAKING ANY SENSE AT ALL?
Stage IV) Massive investment
in adult education, (great for bored boomers) for two reasons.
1 People can spend only so much time bonking, (my words)
smoking dope, and watching TV; boredom
sets in 2 Vast challenges await the brain-alive folk
and us in the next four decades (I'm taking 2000 to 2040) now,
think of the hyper-technologies being born and joined with older
technologies today!) Remember Mr. Tim's (Leary's) S M I2
L E slogan---
Space Migration, Intelligence Increase, Life Extension.
This also is the author's words (not me) Humanity is about to
enter an entirely new evolutionary relationship to space, time,
and consciousness. We will be no longer limited to one planet,
to a brief, less-than-a-century lifespan, (that's what I'm 'talkin
about, these folks spoke of this over 30 years ago!) and to
the stereo- typed and robotic mental processes most people currently
govern their lives.
Why work, be laid off, fired, constantly
worried about promotions or being one to three paychecks away
from deep debt unless you have intelligent, economically stable,
secure parent(s) or very understanding "sugar mama's 'n daddies
(non blood related persons sometimes willing to help others
though rarely out of a pure motive or random-acts-of-kindness)
though they do exist.
Short synopsis: Is an Honest
day's work, for an honest day's pay an obsolete concept? Is
it time to end the word play of "Subsidies" and "Welfare when
one means helping multi corporations an another for single adults,
families headed by one-two parents. The last two columns was
about seeing different ways to work this economy where both
our US government and we, (us-the people) can have our taxes
invested or reinvested globally using our GNP, (Gross National
Product) GDP,

(Gross Domestic Product) Standard and
Poor, and the rest of the alphabet economic indicators. Even
the Internal Revenue Service that can track wayward dollars
across the world might spend less money searching for tax evaders
as more people pay their fair share to get on the annual Negative
Income Tax. Slightly confused good. Ask people who may have
downloaded my two previous columns. (have I lost money again?)
Left you 'hangin? Well here's the rest
of the above fabled economy that can be real if enough American's
put their fat graymatter to this purpose. What purpose? The
total reconception of work-living in a No-Work Society.
Think again on this. If work became
obsolete and the human spirit is freed up can be a creative
engine that never stops 365-24-7! Everything changes. No more
relying strictly on NASA (National Aeronautics Space Agency.)
The vot
ers, the people would have true absolute
freedom. How can the CIA, FBI, Police, or secret black ops agencies
look for people off-planet, on moons, between asteroid belts,
underwater cities, when we're literally everywhere not just
on earth? How can we miss this opportunity? While we still can
vote lets do this
radically sane thing, get the best minds
on it now... We, the people are the government, we don't have
to overthrow it VOTE in a National Tax Dividend initiative or
ballot for 2000, '01 or on the ballot within the next four years
and made it a permanate part for our economic future.
Our Government would now pay us and
we are its boss, manager; wasn't that the original intention?
Rap among yourselves, are the authors and I wrong on this? Can
we vote this new so called radical no-work plan for all of us?
Could the cure for Unemployment be... Unemployment itself! If
that sounds familiar, I meant to do that I think. Imagine, not
only would most of us be unemployed but they'd be no stigma
we'd be able to do more with our brains than screw, drink, bitch,
and moan also some sort of added bonus prize money for perpetual
motion, anti-gravity devices. It gets worse the government couldn't
stop inventors, creative people or regular working stiffs researching
and or working on improving their own lives or fellow humans
and yet no one is really doing "traditional work" how many regular
folks have answers to problems but because of work constraints,
family, economic binds they're not heard?
I f any listener's has more or better
Ideas on this subject don't just write to me but fax, e-mail,
snail mail, phone, telegraph, speak to everyone you can.
I'm one person but all you readers are
the glue-stick together, stick together.
When will there ever be a better time
for a National Tax Dividend for all the people in America? That's
my take on our 'Magic Economy.'
PS. Any questions, you know where my
site is or snail mail address if you don't ... there are people
who have it on-line so please contact them and talk about all
the above among your selves. Readers, do you have questions
and if you do don't ask me, quiz each other on it. I can hear
chat rooms buzzing about it now.
PS My e-mail is on Hotmail at
askjoepoor.com (.) I'll get the hang of receiving, reading,
sending, e-mail back to readers. Address, name, secret question
stuff. ( Are folks interested in what I say?) Progress? I want
an aircar-how about both: I-net in aircar. An epiphany worth
discovering. Bye.

Human Rights U.S.A. and The No-Work Society? (Part 2)
6/27/00
The Universal Declaration
of Human Rights (U.D.H.R. Dec.10,1948) by The Human Rights Steering
Committee. I asked people to dust off the Bill Of Rights, add to
that the Constitution of The United States and if at all possible
- to have those and other important human freedom documents of every
language reproduced and sent globally so most of us are aware of
all these freedoms. Please read (U.D.H.R's) Articles 1 to 30. Plus
we can no loner think, act, or be an earthbound species.
When our Internet archives
are researched hundreds, thousands, of years from now it will be
said brave, courageous, sensitive, intelligent souls reached out
to mend the rifts, scars, hurts of the world. We may have partly
succeeded that is why the records are read to learn how some of
us did reach beyond petty desires for something more than our individual
selves.
That's my posterity
bid for visiting "Chrononaughts" who might be curious and show me
what went right or wrong, what has remained unchanged. Back to the
present. Does anyone remember "The Illuminati Trilogy, Illuminati
Papers or others written or CO-written by Mr. Robert Anton Wilson
or some of his friends like Timothy Leary. I know, "enough T &
A, get on with it."
Our economy is fat,
bloated, also twisted in an insane climate of boosted rents, real
estate speculation 'n greed on scales that would make early 19th
and 20th century robber baron's envious. This is where Mr. R. A.
Wilson and friends enter. The current level of GNP is conservative.
(add 20 or more years) It was proposed that a share would be worth
several times as much, per year, as a welfare recipient receives
at least five times more-obviously adjustments has to be made for
the passed. Critics say inflationary. National Dividend Supporters
say it would only be inflationary if the dividends distributed were
more than the GNP; and they are only to issue dividends equal to
the GNP. Am I making sense? We all pay taxes some more, some less,
a few too poor or extremely wealthy pay next to nothing. House mortgage,
taxes to the I.R.S. (Internal Revenue Service) This was proposed
over 30 years or more ago!
What if hypothetically
every citizen in America that pays any kind of tax be it candy bars,
fast food, restaurant, clothes, and mortgage on their home their
tax go into an individual account, that account as part shareholder
in the nation, they receive dividends on the Gross National Product
for the year; which includes, Gross Domestic Product(s) G.D.P. NASDAQ,
or Global investments overseas, Standard & Poor's and other
economic indicators. Is it possible to really have people not working
because the taxes they pay return as dividends to them?
If It were possible
would you watch how your money's spent if you knew each year some
that G.N.P. G.D.P., or other economic indicators returns to you
as a check, now multiply that by as many friends, relatives and
people across America; how many people would stay focused on Geo-polititics,
foreign issues and our domestic economy? Here's my point most of
us know work especially low wage-work (an honest days work, for
an honest pay) is a drag unless your soul sings with what you love,
few people have that satisfying kind of work - those who do are
blessed. To most of us being employed is a life numbing, boring,
purgatory.
Could the cure for unemployment
be unemployment? Stay with me, 'old Joe hasn't flaked out. The more
advanced a society, the less 'people power' needed to run it, Buckminster
Fuller called it ephemeralization or doing-more-with-less. An engineer
C.H. Douglas, coined the term- Increment-Of-Association: 1) The
by combining efforts we can do more than the sum of each of us separately.
How about: The National Dividend, a concept also invented by Mr.
C.H. Douglas then revised by Ezra Pound and Buckminster Fuller with
some conflicting ideas.
top of article
|
|
2) Knowledge itself
is self augmenting: we learn, know and want to increase our knowledge
(C.H. Douglas or someone else may have said this I Don't know.)
Hope I'm explaining this correctly, here goes.
1) The National Dividend.
Every citizen should be declared a shareholder in the nation, receive
dividends on the Gross National Product G.N.R. (I'd expand that
to include Gross Domestic Products also G.D.P. Global foreign or
money markets can come later.
2) The Guaranteed Annual
Income. Economist Robert Theobald and others have urged this maybe
Mr. Greenspan can study it, help guard against possible negative
aspects. Our government would simply establish an income level above
level above the poverty line and guarantee that no citizen would
receive less; if your wages fall below that level, or you have no
wages, the government makes up the difference. Now that there is
hardly any welfare system it will cost the government less in red
tape and most importantly It would also spare the recipients of
humiliation, degradation, and dehumanization built into the welfare
system. (Which is still going on even as welfare falls away and
no safety net is in place, this can be a revolutionary permanate
safety net!)
3) The Negative Income
Tax devised by Milton Friedman is less radical would establish a
minimum income for every citizen; anyone whose income fell below
that level would receive the amount necessary to bring them up to
that standard.
The Guaranteed Annual
Income, cashing a check from the IRS (Internal Revenue Service)
who'd know it was a "subsidy" income, a refund from you overpaying
last years taxes? If everyone is paid this way welfare loses its
meaning. In this 'Miracle" economy think of China in its state-run,
slow lumbering way "The nail that stands up gets hammered down"
They kill their best and brightest young people as we've done too,
anyway some survive flee to other countries including America. China
has another brain drain in years to come.
America's hidden brain
drain is homeless mom's, children, single adults not able to work
willing but the jobs are not living wage jobs, what if all of us
didn't need... work but our government did, it would again make
all other countries including China, Japan, take notice. It would
be a race in which nations can care for its citizens the best ways
in added wealth, health, longevity. China, Japan, parts of Russia,
Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy and France would win hands down
now but after America switches to this new economy all bets are
off. This is the end of Part 2 No-Work Society, I urge anyone reading
this to please do more research to find out if this is possible.
As always contact each other, connect globally. I apologize for
babbling in this long; hope I've hit a nerve. Bye.
PS Next time The Rich
Economy.

To: Lil Kim Survivor... Thriving
6/22/00
They're at
it again, those self righteous, know it alls. Ever notice how some
people make the same mistake, over and over (selective prejudice)
of others. Like Whitney Houston, Minnie Ripperton, Donna Sommer,
or Millie Jackson. Now they have a beef with rap artist 'Notorious
'Lil Kim.
Born Kimberly
Denise Jones in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant, her parent's divorced
when she was 9, experienced homelessness shortly after and began
learning how to rap before meeting 'Notorious "Biggie Smalls" in
1995, he is her mentor, friend, and lover and met the Junior M.A.F.I.A.
group/collective.
By 1997 Biggie
is killed leaving Kim on her own. She rising star in her own right
beating the odds, (we tend to do this on a regular basis) So called
Moral Factions worry about her lyrics, scanty clothes, dancing,
than recent killings of innocent people in the streets of America.
(I cannot rap, dance, or sing) but I wish this strong, young, woman
the best of a long, lusty, exciting life

A few people
have problems with you and your music... well you can always make
'em into stronger, brainy raps. They'll go after someone else not
suppose to rise up again. What's so threatening about black women?
I would rather hear a Woman's angry, sensual, sexy truth and pain
than have 'em so mad at men folk they go off and shoot, punch, kick,
or stomp 'em in the nuts. Brother's, we know what Sister's are capable
of when we get on their last nerve.
Sow them wild
oats (safe sex wise) until you find your one and only. Over two
decades of Rap 'n Hip Hop and some people still don't get the message
but want to silence the messengers. Now I must listen to two over
20 years of this music of protest and change to better understand.
Before then Ms. Jones will be producing movies, video's, directing,
or staring in movies or own her own multinational corporation. Could
that be why they, (the mainstream) worry about another "Madonna"
(pun and analogy are apt, the conservative segment of the population
still have problems with her...To bad-unique, brilliant, creative
people do that so get use to it. Got go. Bye.

Social Capitalism:
Sharing The Wealth
On December 10, 1948 the
General Assembly of the United Nations adopted and proclaimed the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights (U.D.H.R.) This Declaration
guarantees the rights of all people and encompasses a broad spectrum
of economic, social, cultural, political and civil rights. The Human
Rights USA Steering Committee.
That was 52 years ago, 6 months more or less. Tell that, to Mr.
Mumia Abu-Jamal Geronimo Pratt now known as Geronimo Dijaja
and other falsely accused, wrongly convicted, faulty eye witnessed
individuals in prison or anyone that has been stopped for no other
reason than "reasonable suspicion." Dust off your old books, pamphlets,
or papers; you know, your Bill of Rights. Its: The Universal
Declaration of Human Rights.
I keep hearing America's economy is breaking records, creating
more wealthy individuals while at the same time people, families,
and single adults on fixed incomes, struggle with two or three jobs
because their low wages does not keep pace up to this "miracle market"/
economic boom. People are working longer, harder without a living
wage. As science and technological innovations place more people
on the unemployment line. One of many bright spots in this bleak
picture is we're living longer, are healthier, of course no one
wants to be a healthy, lusty individual at 80 without the means
to forfill those urges.
Imagine, being retired with little or no savings and though your
65, 70, 80 or more and your brain, hormones and you act and feel
10-20 years younger and though your at an age when your not suppose
to be working you may have not saved enough money or none at all
now you must work another 15 years. This cuts down on your personal
pleasure principle drastically. The elderly should be knowledgeable
sages about banks showing life is a process in motion,we don't just
grow older but change, improve, keep on growing wiser, stronger
more independent.

WE ARE THE PEOPLE, ELECTING PEOPLE TO BETTER
OUR LIVES NOT LINE THEIR POCKETS, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE MORE OF US
THAN THEM - PLEASE REMEMBER THAT. Folks, take a rest, nap, walk
outside, do other life affirming things... and when you're ready
read on... Our government, Yes our government needs to change too.
It doesn't have be drastic but in incremental fundamental ways.
Now that there is a surplus of funds built up by the I-net, Dot-
Com, real estate, foreign, and domestic investments created by Global
Capitalism shouldn't all the people benefit?
What I'm proposing isn't new, it has been said, written, thought
of two or more decades ago by brilliant, creative, and thoughtful
people and if by chance some readers know what I'm writing about
and want to contribute to the discussion please go to e-boards,
e-mail, each other, Congress, both President and Vice President
and on down the line so there is a ground swell of support.
Sounds radical, could be, all I'll say for now to excite your neurons
is:
When corporations have economic downturns our government supplies
extra cash we regular working stiffs call it a subsidy or
bailout. When people are out of jobs, strapped for cash, in need
of temporary or long term assistance or being-on-the-dole- its Welfare.
Think a minute or two ECONOMIC INCENTIVE, or WELFARE, THE ONE DIFFERENCE
IS THE WORDING, yet both need cash replenishment. Next time Part

Lead Poisoning Worse For Children New Research Found
Tuesday, May, 23, 2000
Boston - Millions more children than previously
thought might have lead-linked mental impairment. Another study
supports a strong link between lead exposure and juvenile delinquency.

still exist?
Does anyone remember the late 1970's or 80's crack
epidemic, and AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) infants
born to addicted mothers? Mainstream media and TV specials said,
"These babies have a dim or no future." Many of these reports are
wrong; some of these children are geniuses, although some do have
mental or behavioral problems. Notice fewer news reports on "crack
babies", though there are still problems with infants born with
drugs and the AIDS virus in their system. Then miracles happen as
babies' immune systems fight off the disease and live!
Or when so many young African-Americans died from
gang related drive-by shootings all over the inner cities of America,
that first year medical students were learning triage medicine by:
1) separating the seriously wounded from
2) the dead and death bound and
3) survivors.

News all over the country, in a main story format,
was the possible extinction of Blacks in America.
It seemed to me at the time that there was
actual glee at such a prospect. We as a people not only survived,
but thrived, as in an old Richard Pryor joke: "After 400 years of
this shit (Slavery) we ain't afraid of aliens in spaceships."
Now we're becoming victims of the accumulated lead
poisoning from buildings constructed in the 20th century: the 1930's,
40's, 50's, and 60's, in both old and 'urbanely renewed' neighborhoods.
How many children have permanent mental or physical
problems, and as young men or women, do not know why, blaming themselves
for something not their fault. I ate bugs 'n roaches as a child,
especially those big, fat waterbugs; full of blood and crunchy.
Later I learn they are also full of diseases, too, and they walk
on lead painted walls.
Everything must be reassessed, and with updated
medical progress some children and adults might be helped. Permanent
brain damage from lead poison may not be as irreversible with new
therapies like were available to the cocaine babies and AIDS infants.
And no more black folks to scare. There could be a way to reverse
brain damage. Let's all say it together: "Fetal cells, stem cells."
Just a thought. Talk to each other. "The answers are with us all."
Bye.

Fatal For Off-Duty Cop "Friendly Fire"
Wednesday, April, 21, 2000
Friendly Fire: A military term, used when soldiers
are wounded, killed by weapons fired from our own military fighting
enemy forces in war.
Folks, like I wrote before, not all though most
police have a'Thin Blue Line' mentality down perfect. As in a Providence,
Road Island restaurant on Friday, January, 28. That mental "blind
spot"cost 29-year-old Sgt. Cornel Young Jr. an off-duty officer,
out of uniform. His life. It happened to a black police officer,
attempting to help two fellow policemen both white.
Solitro, 33, and Saraiva, 30, were responding to
a fight outside the restaurant. Young, in street clothes, drew his
gun to help the officers, both officer's said they repeatedly told
Young to drop the weapon, but he did not comply and they shot him.
The police union insisted Young's shooting was a split-second decision,
not prejudice.
I guess, between the adrenaline flow in all three
officers, a situation highly charged and poor Sgt.Young maybe didn't
hear - his focus being on the immediate problem... helping two 'brother's-in-uniform
but he in his skivvies is like any other citizen, in the way or
a suspect. Leisa Young Mr. Young's Mother is angry having to learn
Tuesday's ruling from reporter. Attorney General Sheldon Whitehouse,
criticized by some community leaders for his handling of the inquiry.
Bill Fisher, an aide for Whitehouse, said "the attorney general
had left messages at her Mrs. Leisa Young home and work but could
now reach her before he held a news conference announcing the grand
jury's decision: Jury clears 2 white Rhode Island Cops of accidental
killing of off-duty officer.
To me it sounds like a righteous shoot? I may be
wrong. Warning to off-duty officer's: show a badge, police academy
ring, anything showing your police personnel too. Is it an aberration?
I guarantee this has and will happen in other places as long as
cops are trained to shoot black outlines which automatically make
African-American's or any non Caucasoid in the minds of officer's
walking targets.
My humble suggestion: change those shooting targets
into mixed colors, rainbow spectrums not just one gradient of black,
gray, brown, or white outline... in case police departments have
those around. 'Ya know between those four goons in not all of their
names begin with a G like Mayor R. Guiliani, G. Garcetti of Angle,
'uh Angel City, The Honorable Reverend/Supervisor Amos Brown, what
he's done to a family I don't care what he says in a reputable newspaper
it is WWW. Wrong! Eloquent, stylish, 'lucky Dot-money investor Mayor
Brown, and across the Bay STRONG MAYOR and Former California Governor
Jerry Brown or E-B Emperor Brown have some weird convergence going
on Darn, them aligning planets! Cops flipping out, gone crazy making
mistakes killing innocent people and if an officer isn't in uniform,
off-duty he or she is libel to be another victim.

I'd sure like to hear that "Cop Killer"or any other
track on the same subject and hope they B'n M know what I mean folks,
b+m-rhymes with groan. In other Cities, States, Counties, small
towns the same thing is going on and citizen's are fed up; here
it is damn near the 21st Century and cops are have devolved backwards
only with modern weapons. It's a nasty time for anyone 'walkin the
street with flops 'uh cops acting out their 'Wild Wild West fantasy's
with real weapons and I don't mean the TV show or updated movie.
There are many ex-military, gang members, younger
folks fed up-won't take this crap plus we know those bullet proof
vests, shields, armor plated don't protect one from grenades, portable,
rocket launcher's or a Vintage WWII bazooka in mint condition. People
become radicalized, organized, politicized, and more vocal and they
tend to want payback when friends, relatives, or they get shot at,
wounded over "a perception or suspicion" Cops constantly piss folks
as it is, with their power of legal murder I see why some cops "eat
their gun" Maybe the next generation of police will learn from past
mistakes.
I do not envy minority cops of either race, sex,
or sexual orientation because when you take off the uniform you
literally can lose your life as Sergeant Cornel Young Jr. did either
by trying to help or not being believed that you are one of the
'blue's only off duty.
'Wanna know what I call 'friendly fire'? When a
'smart-bullet hits a cop and knows by optical scans, colors, imaging,
diagnostic/medical technologies its made an error, corrects it by
releasing natural and nanobots healing, cleansing, closing the wound,
also excellerated healing then spills over to further heal other
areas with left over med-bots. For criminals the same so 'accidental
hits to heart, lung, or brain is no longer automatically fatal.
Back to reality.
The really sad part is as a dedicated officer if
he Sgt. Cornel Young had survived this tragic event he probably
would have thought twice before doing it again. How many off-duty
cops survived, were wounded, killed simply because they were seen
as potential criminal-with-gun-threat? Someone could make a national
website adding up statistics of related "Friendly Fire" Cop-Killing-Cops
by accident it may surprise us how many are being lost. If I offended
any former or retired cops feelings... My deepest apologies; EVERYONE-
BE SAFE. Bye folks.

Mayor 'G', Head of "Blue Goon's"
About a week ago New York Mayor R. Giuliani's praised
New York's Filthiest (1% to 5% of rotten apples on the police force)
for the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Patrick Dorismond this month
then pulls out the late Mr. Dorismond's "sealed" records in response
to justify shooting an unarmed man. The Dorismond Family is suing
the (police for the wrongful death of Mr. Patrick Dorismond.) To
all hardworking, non racist, fair officer's that abide by "To Serve
And Protect as a real standard, a few of your "Brothers-In-Arms
are turning the populace against that 'Thin Blue Line' making a
mockery of why most of you joined the force in the first place.
These... sleazy, cowardly, (shooting unarmed people in one-on-one
or in an organized gang formation is cowardly.) out of control brutes.
A bunch of Goons in a Rabid, Mad Dog Goon Squad. I'm a transplanted
New Yorker living in ("Lets say it together) Sodom and Gomorra,
or the place with all the fruits and nuts: San Francisco, California.
Police are just as twitchy on the trigger out here, though our Mayor
"His Willi-ness" is dapper, has some finesse' in his "Power Politics.
Cops, like those funny car insurance adds: "We all do dumb things
commercials. These Keystone Cops (my apologies to the Late Hal Roach
and his family.) are not funny. L.A. has its problems too. There
was a time years back when I had just arrived tired, hungry, no
place to stay and no money that I actually went to a police department
to see if they had an empty cell I could sleep in for the night.
"You have to commit a crime."
I didn't, luckily I find a drop-in shelter this
was before lottery beds when all you did is show up early, sign
your name, S. S. (Social Security number.) and someone did not show
or is late you get their spot. If you don't have one, write your
name anyway you'd still get a bed if a guy or woman didn't show
up. (women were treated better then too.) I showered, had a four
heaping helpings of solid and liquid food, and got into clean, used
bed clothes or pajamas. My sleep is restful except for the terrified
screams in the night. Now if I went back and two cops asked me what
I am doing, I better not have hands in pockets hidden from their
view or I could end up as a dead, gallows humor, bloody joke: "I
AM TAKING MY WALLET OUT OF MY POCKET OFFICER, I DON'T WANT THIS
TO BE NO MOTHER 'FUCKIN ACCIDENT." Richard Pryor once said jokingly
even then Black humor by black comedians 'talkin truth to an integrated
audience split two ways: one saw it as simply funny and another
laughing through the pain, anguish of life and death situations
may have really been through this. In Angel City or Los Angeles
a District Attorney, George Rosenstock urging his superiors to file
conspiracy charges against several officers is pulled off a task
force days later.
Explain this to me, the man is a bonafide pass-the-bar
lawyer in good standing as a prosecutor he gathers evidence (true
not fiction or hearsay) and presents his or her case to a judge
and jury for a final verdict. Wacky Angel City D.A. Gil Garcetti
denied the Deputy D.A. sought approval on a radio talk show. Maybe
he did or the case fell on his docket, he goes about his job and
for his troubles is pulled off the case. Is this L.A. thing so scuzzy
'n rank that it really is an open and shut case on L.A.'s Snafu,
Pollute, 'um, Police Fake, 'uh Force?

(Situation Normal Everything All Fucked Up) a Military
term that fits, any other terms you can think of tell 'em to me.
These... Officer's of the law, protectors of peace and freedom (the
fallen stars, no talent bit players, de-evolved, mentally challenged,
knuckle dragging... (sorry, didn't mean to insult our chimp cousins.)
these lousy, underpaid assassins (at least real mercenaries risk
their lives with an enemy with equal access to weaponry and tactics.
Misfits in uniform do it with a badge then cringe behind it just
makes me want to hear those cop killer rap songs 'n video's because
brother's, sister's are on the front line of this manure and see
the raw 'n real. I don't ever want to hear cops bitch about being
betrayed as killers (I'm talking about the rotten, stinking eggs
on the force 'smellin it up for the many good eggs doing their jobs
24-7 year by year. L.A., N.Y.C, S.F, and other places where PIGS
are going ape shit on defenseless folks. Get those Blue Goon A-wipes
off the force before they cause more grief, heartache, and anger.
With that out do you think these yokes read out
of the same rule book? Funny, in the 30's and 40's striking workers
are beaten, jailed and killed. 50's and 60's homosexuals, beatniks,
blacks, radicals are getting the stick across the head, between
the scrotum and breast bone. Between the 70's and 80's blacks, browns,
and Asians are getting bashed and blacks, browns, women, gays, lesbians,
transsexual and gendered are the targets. But by the 1990's mostly
everyone knows of someone be they a relative, friend, or a stranger
by chance set upon the police. One thing remains the same, to some
police anyone out of uniform is the enemy. Being brown, black, Asian,
man or woman on the force. When you take off your uniform do you
feel safe or have you become another target for a goon that doesn't
know you are part of them; a fellow brother, sister, in arms, a
beat cop, chip, or on patrol in squad cars?
You, on the force think of that when and if they
mistake you for some citizen= criminal= enemy then tell me about
the thin blue line. And all young folks, talk, ask your father's,
mother's, aunts, older siblings and elders they may know something
of the so-called dead bygone days when there was strange fruit hanging
from trees, these days most of the trees are in parks or dead so
Goons shoot 'em without thinking of ropes. Be careful youngbloods
invest in education, bullet proof vests and think before reacting
cause the dogs are loose looking for an excuse any excuse to take
our lives and by hiding behind a badge: THEY CAN, HAVE, AND WILL
CONTINUE TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. THIS IS YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD
'GOON 'umm, POLICE PORK, oops FORCE, NOW MORE THAN EVER EVERYONE
IS THEIR ENEMY. AVOID ANY CONFLICT WITH 'EM! Bye folks (Not yet)
Source:San Francico Chronicle Mon. 3, 27, 2000.
P.S. I'm available as a housesitter, hours may
vary. Prices: $200 a day, $500 weekly: $2,000 a month. For 3 months
$6,000. You may find someone incorruptible like me to housewatch.
Its possible, they may be less expensive. Your home, your choice.)
I value that borrowed space. To me all homes are sacred spaces;
from living in shelters, bad motels, a real home is priceless.

New York City born, with a lazy left eye.
Because I kept taking off the brown plastic patch so it didn't correct
itself. Other than being in fights, snubbed by girls and women,
and having no depth perception, my psyche is okay. My job history
in brief: Lab Aide, Library Aide, Food Service Assistant in Oakland's
and Berkeley's Unified School District's, also a Custodian, Security
Guard, and Certified Nurse's Aide, (CNA) Dietary Aide, in a Convalescent
Hospital with Holocaust Survivors. The blue/purple numbers etched
into their flesh told me. They were terrified and cringed at my
touch. My CNA license was not renewed: my choice.
1989, I moved to San Francisco, jobless,
homeless, drifting from shelter to shelter; let's just say I was
living the polar opposite of the 'Go Go 80's. 1991: I was on General
Assistance (G.A.) By 1994, I saved enough money from odd jobs and
G.A. to leave the shelter I was staying in, Pierce Arrow Multi
Service Center North, known on the street as "Broken Arrow,"
I move into a Single Room Occupancy hotel or (S.R.O.)
Yes, there's more, but not now; dear readers, you now know a
little about me. My apologies if you were bored.

More on Knowing Joe
I learned photography, darkroom techniques,
lighting, in what was known as Eye Gallery, renamed The
Sixth Street Photo Workshop. One day, I met a slim, red-haired
woman, named
"Tiny," who asked me to write my true
feelings in the pages of a new magazine called POOR.
At first I balked at doing it, dredging up bad memories. But once
passed the past, I have worked on and off with the struggling magazine
since 1995. During the same time I have relearned data entry, word
processing and worked as a sorter in Goodwill Industries. A sorter's
job is to check donated items for possible resale to the public.
Items like old cameras, photos, and records, are thrown in the garbage.
Old 78's, 1930's-40's records are old and brittle, they're also
rare and valuable Americana, destroy-ing them is more of
our history lost forever.
After graduating from Goodwill's work/education
program, POOR Magazine got a grant and
I was hired December 15, 1998. At POOR I work as a
Writer-in-training, I learned about reporting, interviewing people,
and working on different news stories. I also learn I do not like
investigative reporting. The art of Investigative Reporting is an
on-going, never ending process.
This column is a dream, I dreamt, about when
I was homeless, in shelters, and in food lines. I am a latecomer
to the Internet, e-mail etc. Still, I'd like folks to drop by on
stealth visits for one-on-one (PNN) Poor News Network
web cast interviews. Other voices, hidden or shaded for safety reasons,
can help people I may never meet. I worry about column shock, a
version of writer's block, when I feel everything's been said and
I am all written out. Must go, please tell me what you believe and
think... "bye."

Letters
to Joe
Joe welcomes your letters, comments and advice
write to him at: poormag@sirius.com
Henry Pellum writes from Hollywood,Ca
Dear Joe,
I wish to know more about IPO's, how do I begin to invest in them, also
if you are so poor how come you know so much about Mutual Funds?
Anyway, I work as a Rent-a-cop, its boring work, I gotta get out. At 35
my life seems set in this rut. Someday I'd like to be married, can you
help me?
*************************
ASK JOE responds;
Dear Mr. H. Pellem,
Thirty-five is young these days, just feed your body and mind the proper
nutrients, vitamins, minerals-trace minerals and exercise regularly, cut
down or out on smoking, drinking and be careful with sex partners. Please
get tested regularly too. All these precautions may help you live longer.
I bought a Mutual Fund for $300 I was unable to place $25 each month
due too homeless and sleeping in shelters but the fund (Bless 'em) didn't
close my account. Visiting their office one day, surprised me the
money had increased slightly.
DON'T demean your job, so being a Security Guard bores you, read financial
magazines, Wall Street Journal, bone up on companies you'd like to own
stock in, or quiz your buddies. Save money, open a savings account, go
to free seminars or paying ones. THIS SAME BORING JOB CAN HELP YOU.
I.P.O (Initial Public Offerings) is new to every one.
One problem is if it's heard on radio, TV people buy the stock quick plus
if your thinking of Day Trading you must have $50,000 to start,
it must be fun win/lose money not savings, pension money. You heard a
psychopath killing his whole family then goes to Day Trading building
to kill more people because of a $250,000 loss. Personally I believe he
was unhinged to begin without the money loss.
Research Day Trading, go to a free seminar or pay.
I've read 70% of Day Traders lose money.
While E-Trade(Electronic Trading) is slower paced. You can begin with
a broker as your guide through trading on the internet. When you safely
learn how to navigate economically then find your stocks, research then
buy, sell or keep and the rest is up to you. Any you won't loose your
mind on each transaction on the web.
Mr. Pellem, relax. People want your boring job don't be too quick to
trash it, set a time table, be frugal, use that job and your time wisely.
Good by, Mr. HP.

A Stern but
Friendly nudge
from don't know
Joe about
Voting.
2000 is as important a year as 2001. In November of 2000 its time
to get out the vote. I didnÕt see the MTV Awards on Thursday and
IÕm hear-ing the usual adult (Oh Damn, IÕm One) blab on its coverage,
inart-iculate guests, too much T Ôn A on stage. Give Me A Break,
MTV was and is made to shock people and its done its job again splendidly
remember it was cre-ated expressly for shocking grown folks and
is a creative outlet for a younger generation - to angry, shocked,
adults single or with children Get Over It as for Rap/Hip Hop
Its Here and WonÕt Go Away.
Deal With Reality. Rap and Hip Hop is INTERNATIONAL, GLOBAL,
PROBABLY INTERGALACTIC SPEEDING THROUGH SPACE.
If you canÕt stand the message or music donÕt listen. Rap been
disre-spected, Ôdissed, banned, and people have been arrested for
selling it, the powers that be tried to overide market forces, that
didnÕt work either so now what? If rap still pisses people off because
of messages they donÕt want to hear then it too still does its job
as informing, warning inner city folk and those that care enough
to listen that weÕre all are being are getting fucked over! If my
phrasing is raw this is as bad as it gets - darn it.
MTV folks, your turn to voice your opinion, views, likes, dislikes,
out-right hate too. Many adults believe you wonÕt go to the poll,
do your civic duty. ÒActually they donÕt want you to vote so
prove Ôem wrong show Ôem your generation and ones coming behind
you that your Ôgen knows the game.Ó
We will leap forward or stumble backward. Me, I want more political
parties like Life Extension Party, Immortalist Party, or L5-SpacerÕs
Party. The L5 or Lagrange Point between earth and the moon and spacer
is for people who are willing to go into space to live on asteroids,
planitoids, or H.O.M.E.Õs (High Orbital Mini Earths) yet another
future political party. How about independant asteroid mining for
fun and profit.

Had a good laugh, well this could be our future if a couple of
guys get elected and there are seats open for the Supreme Court.
Call all Grrrrls, Girls, Women, and Wimmin think of your choices.
Doc-torÕs being maimed, killed because of the abortion debate, embryo,
or stem cell research and medical benefits of cloning. (grow brainstem,
nervous system separate from bodies) then you have parts that cannot
be rejected and not another human being and no creepy moral dilema.
Think of homosexuals being beaten up, killed for sexual orientation
alone. There is no Gay/Lesbian/Transexual/agenda, the only agenda
is to stop killing for being slighly different from so called Ònormal
heterosexual lifestyles. The Eternal made all of us without errors,
the only Biological Errors are in Peoplekind none of us are perfect,
genetically speaking hu-manity are full of flaws.
In Coeur DÕAlene, Idaho a American Mother and child attacked and
beaten in 1998 by Aryan Nations guards outside the white supremacist
groupÕs North Idaho headquaters is awarded $6.3 million thusday.
Richard Butler says ÒYou canÕt stop us, This is nothing.Ó ÒWe have
planted seeds.Ó ButlerÕs chief of staff, Michael Teague said ÒThis
does not stop the message.Ó (Mr. B. the message is dying, its been
heard too many times its old, ugly, filthy, untrue and twisted most
people know you are wrong - GET OVER IT., IS THAT REASON ENOUGH
TO VOTE!!

Cadaver Cash
My problem with this old then new news item titled: The Body Brokers
to me is so vast that even reading and down loading some of it was
a chore. I first hear of this stuff Saturday on KFSOÕs Barabara
Simpson. As she in-terviews Mr. Mark Kathches of Orange County Register.
It began in No-vember of 1999 with interviews of people in diverse
medical fields, rela-tives of the deceased, documented laws and
loopholes to them - real inves-tigative reporting.
As Ms. Simpson said ÒThis is important.Ó I did go on the web the
next day and saw those stories getting paranoid by the second. Please,
I urge everyone on the web whether youÕve read my columns or not,
if you can... down load every last bit of ÒThe Body BrokerÕsÓ at
the Orange County Register.com . Look for yourselves.
Imagine if your spouse, brother, best friend, a parent, or any
beloved relatives dies suddenly or had a natural death usually they
are buried, cre-mated, or if they dicide to take one last chance
on science and techn-ololgy signs up for Cryonics, the after death
freeze choice where they might be back among the living while you
do the old, reincarnation through womb, or test tube birth. Others
may want to donate their bodies, organs to peo-ple, science or both
this is where trouble begins.
Some companies not all make millions of dollars off skin, heart
valves, veins, bones, and tendons. One cadaver can be worth $220,000.
Here are a few names of those companies some are non profit some
are for profit:University of Florida Tissue Bank a spinoff of a
private firm Regen-eration Technologies Inc. 1998 (dosenÕt
it sound like a life giving, rejuve-nation, revitalization company?)
Osteotech Inc., Intermountain Tissue Center, a Salt Late City, a
non profit bank.

There are others all over California, New York, Chicago, where
every people die these places are they have to be where the bodies
are. Cadaver skin plumping the lips of fashion models $1,050. Ground
bones dentists use to treat patients 200,000 times a year and glossy
catalogs ad-vertise 650 products made from body parts. Do you know
a single dead body part (raw material) is worth tens of thou-sands
of dollars. Its stock is even traded on Wall Street. Folks this
looks like it is international!
Grieving families are not told their ÔdonatedÕ gifts (loved
ones) fuels and industry predicted to hit 1billion within three
years.
Again, I say LOOK THIS UP, THEN DIG AROUND AND BEYOND OUR
COUNTRY THIS I S ALREADY QUIETLY GONE INTERNATIONAL.
The National Organ Transplant Act approved by Congress in 1984,
banned Profits from sale of Tissue. But no Tisssue Bank has been
prose-cuted. ÒThe law has never been tested in courtÓ Jeanne Mowe,
Executive Director of The American Association of Tissue Banks.
100 of millions of dollar selling products crafted from donated
human bodies even though its illegal to profit from parts.
Like space weÕre back in it again supplying material for the
interna-tional space station. The Orange County RegisterÕs story
is not just timely its a warning that the future is not through
with us even after death we be-come another valuable product.
Bye.
